This map shows Niedzwiedz and Konina which are located 35 miles south of Krakow, Poland. My 'Sutor' family is from Konina and my Grandmother's 'Haras' family is from Niedzwiedz but had been from Konina.
The original Saint Sebastian Church in Niedzwiedz, Poland. My Grandparents, Jozef Sutor and Maria Haras were baptized in this church. Sadly, the church burned to the ground in 1992.
This picture shows the 'reconstructed' Saint Sebastian Church in Niedzwiedz, Poland. It was built on the same location of the original church.
The 'new' Saint Sebastian Church in Niedzwiedz, Poland is located a block away from the 'reconstruced' church.
The people who live in Konina are very proud of their new church located in the center of Konina. Their church is named Saint Stanislawa BM. On the hill behind the church Konina will have it's own grave yard. |
