Sampson- 12 year old Percheron/Quarter Horse Cross, 16.2 hh. Trained to 1st level- with a bit more balance and work at the canter he'll be 2nd level. He is a very easy handle (clips, ties, trailers, etc.) but is sound reactive and needs a calming voice. Would be best with an experienced rider; he is very light to the aids and tries hard to please. He has been 'cowboyed' and we've worked on relaxation
and trust.
His origins as we've been told: Sampson began training as a
driving horse with the Amish. From there he was taken to NM and
worked for the Albuquerque rodeo as a bronc pickup horse...was told he was also
used as a roping horse (header) and than a ranch horse in Taos. He was
sold to acclaimed horse painter John Berry who started his dressage training and
used him as a model.
Rainbow is a big (17.2hh), beautiful, well-trained Hanoverian/Thoroughbred gelding. He has been shown successfully at 3rd level and has done pirouettes, tempi changes, and other upper-level movements. He is easy to handle and has awesome gaits.

Wonderful Hunter or Eventing prospect. Fabulous trail horse. Great with kids; has been used as a school horse over fences. Perfectly mannered at her first hunt at the Los Altos Hunt (over fences). Her first and only competition was one of the largest Pebble Beach horse shows; she trailered in that day and she won a 1st and 3rd in Children's Hunters. Straightforward horse that could be successfully trained by an intermediate amateur with some supervision. Trailers well, clips, ties, bathes well. Excellent health, clean legs, good feet.
Tjeerd - "Weitze" is an Eye-catching horse with incredible presence. People have stopped at our barn because they saw him galloping in the pasture and wanted a better look at this magnificent animal.
